Parents of Trans Children is a partnership between Rocky Mountain Equality and Parenting the Rainbow. It is a virtual group for parents of transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive children (of all ages) focused on holding space for all members while providing support and connection.
We encourage members to share their own experiences, ask questions, connect with others, and explore their current parenting mindset through the unique lens of supporting both their transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive child(ren) and themselves.
This group is peer-facilitated by Emily Stout (she) and Yolanda Hagar (she). They are parents of trans kids, as well as the leaders behind Parenting the Rainbow. Based in Boulder County, Parenting the Rainbow is a non-profit that creates community, provides support, and promotes resilience for families of LGTBQ+ children through programs, services, events, education, and advocacy.
